Ground Anchors and Soil Nails
Ground anchors have a range of applications such as supporting bored pile retaining walls and stabilising slopes.
Anchor bores are drilled using a combination of rotary percussive, down-the-hole hammer and augers. The choice depends on the access, working room and ground conditions. Bar anchors are inserted into the bore and grouted in place.
Soil nails are grouted into pre-drilled holes then usually covered with mesh or geotextile, held in place with a bolted flat plate.
